Schedule: Must be available to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.
Job Description
NSC Staffing is seeking experienced Marine Brush & Roll Painters for shipyard work in Newport News, VA. Candidates must have experience applying marine coatings, preparing surfaces, and working safely in an industrial shipyard environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, grinding, and using power tools.
- Apply epoxy and non-epoxy coatings using brushes and rollers.
- Maintain proper coating thickness according to job specifications.
- Follow all safety procedures and requirements.
- Work in confined spaces, elevated areas, and active shipyard environments.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 1–3 years of marine brush and roll painting experience.
- Experience with epoxy and non-epoxy coatings.
- Knowledge of surface preparation and power tool operation.
- Ability to wear required respiratory protection.
- Must be physically capable of climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and squatting.
- Must be available to work any shift.
